We use the information we collect to:

• Analyze plant health — Your photos are sent to Google Gemini AI to detect plant diseases and provide treatment recommendations
• Provide weather data — Your location is used to fetch local weather forecasts and farming alerts
• Store your farm data — Garden layouts, harvest records, and reminders are saved locally on your device and optionally synced to our servers
• Improve the app — Anonymous usage patterns help us understand which features are most useful to farmers
• Send reminders — Notifications for farm tasks and plant care schedules you set up

🤖 AI & Third-Party Services

CuraPlant uses Google Gemini AI to analyze plant photos and power the farm assistant chatbot. When you scan a plant or chat with the assistant:

• Your photos and messages are sent to Google's servers for AI processing
• Google processes this data according to their Privacy Policy
• We do not store your photos on our servers — they remain on your device
• Chat conversations are stored locally on your device

Local Storage (On Your Device)

Most of your data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database. This means your data is available even without internet access. Local data includes:

• Scan history and results
• Garden and farm layouts
• Harvest records and tasks
• Chat conversations
• Reminders and preferences

Server Storage (Optional)

If you create an account, certain data may be synced to our servers to enable backup and multi-device access. Server-stored data is:

• Encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
• Stored on secure servers
• Associated with your user account ID
• Deletable upon your request

🔒 Data Sharing

We do NOT:

• Sell your personal data to anyone
• Share your farm data with other users without your consent
